A fire was discovered in the tall grass above the 5 North pre-strip area at 4:20pm. The fire was not extinguished within 30 minutes. A motor grader and mine fire fighting equipment had the fire contained shortly after the 30 minute time frame. No miners or mine equipment and structures were ever at risk during this fire event.
