Employee was attempting to climb onto the back deck of a bulk truck by placing his foot into a clevis attached to the bumper rather than by utilizing the step assembly installed on the truck. When the employee's foot slipped out of the clevis, his shin struck the clevis causing a laceration that required sutures to close the wound.
