Employee was operating a manual crank without ensuring the lock was engaged during rest periods. His hand slipped off the handle which began to spin and he attempted to grab the handle, resulting in the handle hitting his finger leaving a hairline fracture in his right ring finger an ripping the skin between his middle finger and ring finger which needed 8 stitches.
