## Narrative

Employee had thrown the track switch when the switch point rail and straight rail became bounded against bottom part of rails. The employee placed his left hand on the switch point rail to pick it up and the rail suddenly moved pinching the middle fingers of the left hand between the two track rails causing fracture to fingers.
