## Narrative

Employee's left ankle gave out and his left leg went through a small hole (approximately 11"" diameter) in the catwalk he had just uncovered.  He was holding onto a handrail with his left hand.  When he reacted to the sudden motion of the fall, he felt a sharp pain in his left shoulder.  Initial exam of the shoulder was a strained and possibly torn left rotator cuff.
