EE saw smoke from drivers side mirror and began to pull over to berm. He attempted to manual activate the fire suppression system. He began to descend the emergency egress ladder on the truck. He stepped down a couple of steps and them jumped to the ground. He sustained injuries to his ankle, wrist and burns to both hands.
