## Narrative

Changing shield relay bar on long wall shield, shearer went by and pan line pushed out and the shield was not all the way off the top, the hog chain pulling it broke and hit him in the bottom of the foot. PPE was not a factor, mining equipment/system was not a factor, compliance rules/regs was not a factor, miner proficiency and communications was a factor.
