At 5:30 AM on 7/4/13, a brush fire was reported within the quarry boundary. Incident commander was notified by radio & ERT members were dispatched with a brush & water truck. USFS was notified & they responded with a fire fighting crew. The size of the burnt area was estimated at 0.25 acre.
