Narrative

Employee had been in the restricted area of 50% sodium hydroxide solution to turn the caustic system on. Employee was wearing all his PPE while in restricted area. He completed his task and left the restricted area to remove PPE. A hose on the system burst as employee was walking away after removing PPE. Employee received chemical burns to back of neck and back of legs.
