Narrative

The injured employee was advancing ventilation curtains in the No. 9 Entry of the East Mains when a coal rib fell. The rib struck the employee in the chest and right hand. The employee was taken to the hospital for x-rays. X-rays were negative. Contusions only. Employee was held out of service for 2 days by the medical provider.
