Narrative

Employee was handling miner cable when a piece of rock 10""x8"" fell from the mine roof striking his left hand causing a fracture. Loose top was not scaled by employee. The injury did not involve any compliance issues. No mining equipment was involved. The accident didn't involve job skills, miner proficiency, training or attitude. No PPE or protective devices on equipment involved.
