Employee spotted smoke coming through the woods. Employee followed the smoke until he came up on the fire near the Mt Vernon Cemetery off of CR 216. Fire Department was called to the scene to put the fire out. The fire is believed to be caused by lightning strike yesterday morning. The Texas Forestry Service was called in to trench around the fire.
