## Narrative

Employee was walking thru mud and slop at the HG side of the face, he tripped or slipped and put out his hand to catch himself, injuring his thumb.  Cause of this injury were the mud and paying attention while walking thru this condition. Compliance/rules not a factor, miner proficiency may be a factor, mining/equip/systems is not a factor, PPE not a factor.
