## Narrative

The injured employee was riding in a diesel man trip conveyance traveling to section when the man trip slid off of a bridge causing the vehicle to rise up abruptly fall back striking the mine floor. The resulting force caused him to feel immediate pain in his  lower back. He was diagnosed with ruptured spinal disc. The injured had a previous history of back problems.
