After torching holes for guard rail in 20 block spur (23D), injured stood up and started to walk away, stepping on a piece of lump coal and rolling his right ankle. Finished shift, diagnosed with ankle sprain the next day. No problem with training, PPE, mining methods or equipment, or regulatory issues.
