## Narrative

During part 50 audit, it was determined this injury was reportable due to splint being applied to finger. Employee carrying a piece of metal, slipped out of grasp, caught finger between metal and another object. Cause was inattention to task. Compliance with rules/regs, mining equip/systems not a factor. PPE and miner proficiency may be a factor.
