## Narrative

During part 50 audit, this injury was determined reportable. Employee was changing cutter shaft on shearer, did not relieve hyd. pressure, hot fluid (2nd degree burns) sprayed onto his face/neck. Cause was not relieving PSI. Compliance with rules and miner proficiency a factor, PPE and mining equip/systems not a factor.
