During a part 50 audit, it was determined this injury was reportable due to physical therapy. Employee was carrying curtain on shoulder, switch to other side, after picking up roll, he felt back pain. Cause was improper lifting. Compliance with rules/regs, mining equip/systems not a factor, PPE (Back support) and miner proficiency could be a factor.
