Narrative

During a part 50 audit, it was determined that this injury was reportable due to 2nd degree burns. Employee was loosing a snap ring on a cutter shaft and hot oil blew out onto his hand/wrist area. Cause of this injury was not releasing stored energy. Compliance with company rules, PPE (Gloves) and miner proficiency a factor, mining equip/systems not a factor.
