Narrative

Craftsman was working to replace a wear plate on a shovel dipper door when the cable supporting the plate caught on the door creating stored energy in the system. The craftsman tried to free the plate with a pry bar and as the cable suddenly released; the craftsman sustained a crushing injury to his middle and ring finger(s), by contact with the wear plate and dipper door.
