## Narrative

EE & contractor was working in the flow control gate area. After removing a valve they used a come-along to raise it from the floor to a working surface of just over 2 feet. The ee had his hand positioned on each side of the valve unit as the contractor was removing the come-along from above. The come-along slipped & fell down, landing on the ee's left thumb, causing a fracture.
