## Narrative

A large rock was stuck in the panline at 6 shield on 22 West longwall, being broken up by a sledge hammer. The injured was walking by and a piece of the rock flew out and hit him in the right eye causing a laceration to his cornea. No problems with mining machines, methods, PPE, training or compliance issues.
