## Narrative

Supervisor was preparing shield for removal from the face recovery area. When attempting to raise the shield tip up the shield canopy lowered compressing him between the shield and mine floor. The investigation did not reveal any substandard conditions or indications why the shield lowered. This did not involve job skills or attitude, personal safety equipment was being used.
