## Narrative

While installing belt, an empty piece of belt structure fell from along the rib striking the employee on the left hand resulting in a laceration between the thumb and index finger.  The accident occurred because the employee failed to recognize the hazard of allowing the empty belt structure to stand along the rib in close proximity to where he was working.
