AT 9:35AM THE CU #9 PORTAL ELEVATOR STOPPED WORKING. IT WAS FOUND TO BE CAUSED BY THE GOVERNOR ROPE BRAKES HAD LOCKED UP. OUTSIDE ELECTRICIAN WAS CALLED AND THE ELEVATOR WAS BACK IN SERVICE AT 10:35AM. THERE WAS NO ONE TRAPPED AT THE TIME OF THE INCIDENT. ALL AGENCIES WERE NOTIFIED.
