Narrative

Employee stated that while tramming the continuous miner out of a place on the 1 North Mains section the boom of the miner contacted the rib. After shutting off the power on the machine, injured employee rested his hand on the boom to check the cable when a piece of the rib rolled off and struck his right thumb causing a fracture.
