Narrative

A slide was noticed at 7:40 am in the A2 North pit. The spoil slide encroachment across the pit was minimal, but several large cracks appeared along a 600' to 700' long area of the spoil. Mining activity in the pit was stopped and employees were removed. MSHA was notified at 8:34 am.
