## Narrative

While completing maintenance on a diesel mantrip, the ee stated that as he was replacing sections of metal grating, he caught his left middle finger between a section of grating and the diesel mantrips jack walker resulting in a laceration of his left middle finger.  The accident occurred because the ee failed to recognize the placement of his hand in a known pinch point area.
