A fire was discovered in the tall grass above the 6 West prestrip area at 1:50pm. The fire was not extinguished within 30 minutes. A motorgrader and mine fire fighting equipment extinguished the fire along with Campbell County Fire Dept. No miners or mine equipment and structures were ever at risk during this fire event.
