## Narrative

#28 bolter in 1 east lost suction, the injured had bolter operator open dust dump box to check the rubber seal. While checking the seal the dust box closed, pinching his right thumb and resulting in 23 sutures and a hairline fracture of the thumb. No problems with training, ppe, mining methods or compliance issues.
