The employee was releasing the cable on a come-a-long when his hand was stuck by the release latch causing a contusion. The following were not a factor: rules, regulations, mining equipment or systems, protective devises on equipment or clothing, skills, proficiency, or training. Attitude may have been a factor. Miner did not start to lose time until 8-24-2015.
