Employee was assisting another employee while changing a vertical pin when a piece of metal broke free striking him in the wrist. Body placement was the cause of the incident. PPE was not a factor, mining equipment/systems was not a factor, compliance rules/regs was not a factor, miner proficiency may have been a factor.
