## Narrative

Employee was trying to get rock dust out of a scoop bucket and when doing so, placed his left hand on the side of the bucket not realizing that the stinger was moving outward to push the dust out. His thumb was pinched between the outer edge of the bucket and the stinger. He had to have 3 stitches to close a small laceration on the thumb. He returned to work on the next shift.
