## Narrative

Employee was running the headgate side of the longwall shearer towards the head ""on air"" (not cutting coal). The longwall was idle & every third shield was advanced. The employee became entangled in the tight area created by a pulled shield & was struck by the shearer cable handler injuring his chest and back.
