Laborer assisting mechanic removing a heavy pin (4-3/8 inch dia. by approx. 12 inches long) from the mast joint socket. While removing pin, it had shifted and caught the right hand between the middle and ring finger in a pinch point against the fender of the loader causing a laceration requiring 5 stitches to the hand.
