The mine's Safety Department received notification on January 5, 2016 that this employee was granted a 1.65% award for permanent impairment from noise-induced hearing loss. The incident was caused by the employee's failure to wear the appropriate PPE - hearing protection throughout career. Claim 10/5/2015.
