## Narrative

A cross arm failed on a power pole, a fire was identified as smoking/glowing. The fire brigade responded, on standby until the electricians isolated the power. The fire would appear to have been extinguished by the heavy, wet snow, but wind would cause it to flare up. Fire exceeded 30 minutes, and confirmed extinguished at 7:00 a.m. MSHA was notified 4:50.
