## Narrative

Attempted to change 3/8"" pressure hose to the water activation solenoid on 203 shield on the 24W longwall face. EE did not turn off or relieve pressure to the hose, and while pulling staple lock out the hose released and hit EE in the mouth, resulting in impact injuries to the mouth area. Injury did not result from problem with mining machines, training, ppe, or compliance issues.
