## Narrative

EE and partner were using a jackleg drill for installation of rock bolts. While pulling hard on the jackleg to extract the drill steel from the hole the steel suddenly pulled free causing EE to fall backwards and right thumb got caught between the jackleg and a concrete slab causing crushing injuries to the thumb.
