Narrative

Unhooking winch rope from line shield placed in 24W #1 entry storage area. When EE knocked hook out of shield with right hand, the hook fell and landed on EE's left thumb, resting on a scoop bill. Received a fracture to distal phalange of left thumb, which was splinted. No problems with training, mining machines, PPE, or compliance issues.
