## Narrative

Making splice on 3East belt, miner was just inby drive trying to remove a stuck splice pin. EE put the claw of a hammer against the head of the pin and struck it with another hammer. Sliver of metal came off one hammer and punctured left forearm. No problems with training, PPE, mining methods or compliance issues.
