Traveling in man trip, chain hoist fell out of moving man trip, attempted to catch hoist when finger became caught between & severed end of right middle finger. Cause of injury hoist not secured. Incident didn't involve any aspect of compliance with regulation/rules/PPE. Miner proficiency may have been a factor.
