The mine received notification on 7/26/2016, that this employee was granted an award of 2.2% for permanent impairment from noise-induced hearing loss. The date of last exposure and the date of filing was 04/20/2016. The incident was caused by the employee's failure to wear the appropriate PPE - hearing protection throughout EE's career.
