## Narrative

On July 31, employee broke a rock core sample with a hammer. A rock sliver punctured EE's finger. On August 1, EE reported the incident to the site nurse, who referred EE to a doctor. The physician opened the wound to remove the sliver, and then closed the incision with one suture and covered with a band-aid. EE was prescribed antibiotics and returned to work the next day.
