The Mechanic was assisting in repairing a trailer suspension in the service pit by lifting the lower air bag lower support (approx. 60 lbs.) into place while standing on the bottom rung of a 6 ft. step ladder. Mechanic's weight was shifted, while the two lifted, causing the ladder to kick-out, dropping the support and lightly crushed mechanic's hand and wrist.
