A 1990 Ford F-150 owned by the driver/mine employee and carrying one additional mine employee crashed when the driver lost control after the truck's brakes failed. The employees' shift was over, they were leaving mine property, they were not performing any mine related work activities and the accident was not caused by mining conditions, activities, or equipment.
