Narrative

Employee was trimming the fingers on a splice when the knife ee was using slipped and contacted left forearm resulting in a laceration that required 11 stitches. Cause of this incident was awareness and using wrong type of knife. Compliance with company rules a factor, PPE not a factor at the time, miner attitude could be a factor, mining equip/systems not a factor.
