Notification was received on 1-3-2017 that this former employee (retired) has been awarded a PPD of 1.56%. The employee was enrolled in a Hearing Conservation Program and was trained on the use and the areas where hearing protection is required. The incident occurred because the employee failed to use the proper hearing protection throughout mining career.
