## Narrative

Employee was changing a fitting on face shield using a socket and ratchet. The socket broke causing employee to strike elbow on the adjacent shield. The employee continued to work until April 20, 2017 at which time a physician applied a cast to immobilize the elbow to aid healing which makes this incident reportable. The employee continues to work under restrictive duties.
