The mine received notification on 5/9/17 that this employee has been awarded 0.73% for PPD from noise induced hearing loss. The employee was enrolled in a Hearing Conservation Program and was properly trained in use and the areas where hearing protection is required. The incident occurred because the employee failed to properly use hearing protection throughout EE's mining career.
